Notes to the master table

  • The Total column is the government incorporation fee, plus the name search cost where a name search is mandatory, plus our fee of 35.00 including HST.
  • Alberta, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island show a Total of “not confirmed” because a component figure is unconfirmed. New Brunswick is blocked only by the privately set NUANS price, not by the government fee.
  • Ontario numbered corporation, where no NUANS report is required: 300.00 plus 35.00 equals 335.00. Ontario named: 300.00 plus 25.00 plus 35.00 equals 360.00.
  • Federal numbered corporation: 200.00 plus 35.00 equals 235.00. Federal named: 200.00 plus 38.00 plus 35.00 equals 273.00.
  • A federal corporation operating in Ontario registers extra-provincially at no charge. There is no registry fee and no fee from us.
  • A federal corporation operating in British Columbia must register extra-provincially at 350.00, so a federal corporation based in BC comes to 585.00 including our 35.00, named or numbered. A separate BC Name Request is not required simply because a federal corporation is registering in BC.
  • No GST or HST is added to registry fees in the federal jurisdiction, Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, or New Brunswick. Tax treatment is not confirmed for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island.
  • Alberta is the only jurisdiction with no direct government filing channel. Every Alberta filing carries a government fee set by the province plus a service fee set by the private registry agent, and the two must always be shown as separate line items.
  • The 200.00 federal fee is set by regulation and is not channel-dependent. Filing Articles of Incorporation by email or mail is also 200.00, at about 10 business days.
  • British Columbia unlimited liability company incorporation is 1,000.00, not 350.00. The 350.00 figure is for a BC limited company.
  • Manitoba expedited incorporation of 550.00 results from the 200.00 cap on the expedited surcharge, not from doubling the 350.00 base fee.

This page is reviewed quarterly. Each review re-checks every government fee against the official registry page and clears or re-states every figure recorded as not confirmed.

Known fee-change events to watch: Saskatchewan implemented a Corporate Registry fee increase on 15 April 2026, so any Saskatchewan figure sourced before that date is stale. Quebec reissues its fee schedule each January. Ontario stamped its fee schedule 1 April 2026. British Columbia updated its forms and fees page on 22 July 2026. Manitoba’s schedule has been unchanged since 1 October 2018.
