How to Open Your Corporation Online in 4 Steps

You open your corporation online in four steps: choose federal or provincial and named or numbered, fill one simple form, see the full amount and pay, then we file and send your corporation documents. Our fee starts at $35, and no appointment or email exchange is needed. Open Corporation for $35 is a department of Gondaliya CPA.

The Four Steps to Open Your Corporation

  1. Choose federal or provincial, named or numbered

A federal corporation is formed under the Canada Business Corporations Act and its name is protected across Canada; it still registers in each other province where it does business. A provincial corporation is formed under one province's law, such as Ontario's Business Corporations Act. A numbered corporation uses a number as its name. A named Ontario corporation needs a NUANS name search report, which costs $25, while a federal corporation uses the name search built into the Corporations Canada filing.
  2. Fill one simple form

Give the corporation's name or choose a number, the registered office address, the directors and the share structure. One incorporation form covers it, with no appointment or email exchange needed.
  3. See the full amount and pay by card

Before you pay, you see every part of the amount: our fee, the NUANS report if your Ontario corporation is named, and the government fee at cost. Then you pay by card.
  4. We file and send your corporation documents

We file the articles of incorporation with the registry and send you the certificate and the articles. For federal and Ontario corporations, the CRA business number is issued with the incorporation.

If the corporation will only ever do business in Ontario, a provincial corporation is often the simpler choice. If you plan to trade under the same name in several provinces, federal gives the name wider reach.

Do I need to book a call or send emails?

No. The form asks for everything we need, and you see the full amount before you pay. If you do have a question, write to info@opencorporationfor35.ca, or book a consultation if you prefer to talk it through.

Behind the form is a CPA firm. Open Corporation for $35 is a department of Gondaliya CPA. Gondaliya CPA is a CPA Ontario Registered Firm, so the same firm can file your corporation's returns once it is open.

What happens after your corporation is open?

The certificate starts the next stage. A corporation that will not operate for a while still files a T2 every year, and Corp Nil Filing for $300 files those nil returns. Once it starts operating, Gondaliya CPA sets up the books and files its returns.

For the first 60 days, filing by filing, read what happens after you incorporate.
